OAKLAND UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT
Reading InventorY (RI)
Performance & Growth dASHBOARDS
The Reading Inventory (RI) is a screening assessment of reading levels. It is currently given to all grade 3-12 students (3-11 for the Spring (End Of Year) administration) with the exclusion of students who are: 1) enrolled in a Moderate/Severe Handicapped English class (L2) and/or 2) denoted as a "Newcomer" in AERIES.
Students receive a lexile score, which can be used to indicate the grade level at which the student is reading as well as a performance band. The computations in this report include all students who were expected to take the SRI assessment as of the end date of each assessment window. Performance bands are now based on Reading Inventory College & Career Readiness Performance Bands*
