Data Analyst II
Eman supports the Special Education department and is responsible for setting up systems for collecting and organizing student data. Eman creates systems to ensure data quality and consistency across different student information systems (SEIS and AERIES). She also creates Data Literacy courses to help the Special Education department develop the foundational data knowledge needed to  support and streamline day-to-day projects.

Laura Augustus

Human Capital Reporting Specialist
Laura is our point person for staff data needs, including credentials data, recruitment data, and staff-related Public Records Act requests. She is responsible for creating operational reports as well as strategic analyses for the Board of Education and OUSD leadership. ​

Juan Du

Director of Data
Juan is the Data Team's former Statistician and current Director. Juan coordinates the work of the Data Team which includes facilitating cross departmental partnerships, guiding the team's improvement work, and standardizing our team's data processes.

Rinat provide data support for elementary schools, focusing on literacy assessments.

Sangmin Lee

Research Associate
Sangmin develops data reports and dashboards for Early Childhood Education (ECE), analyzing enrollment, attendance, and assessment data and improving data quality across systems. She partners with ECE leadership to provide clear, actionable insights that support program planning and decision-making.

Scout Leonard

Data Analyst II
Scout supports Community Schools and Student Services (CSSS) and Oakland Goes Outdoors (OGO) as a Data Analyst. Scout brings experience in data analysis and data visualization to her work, which includes the California Healthy Kids Survey (CHKS), Afterschool Programs, and Coordination of Services Team (COST) data.

Christina McClain

Statistician
Christina is a Data Analyst supporting Community Schools and Student Services (CSSS) and also serves as Salesforce System Administrator. She works extensively with California Healthy Kids Survey (CHKS) and Coordination of Services Team (COST) data. ​

Data Analyst II
Tomoyo is our high school data specialist focusing on Course grades, A-G requirements, SAT, on track to graduation, Linked Learning, college enrollment, etc. Tomoyo can help provide data support and analysis for OUSD's high school related needs.

Kevin Schmidke

Data Architect
Kevin is a generalist for the team. He is presently the point person for data work in the following areas: Chronic Absence and Attendance, Oakland Housing Authority (OHA), Reading Inventory (SRI) and outside data requests from non-OUSD researchers.

Rohit is a former 8th grade math teacher and the team's Enrollment Data Analyst. He builds systems to analyze historical trends, project school enrollment, and track family applications.

Rattana is our point person for English Language Learner, Newcomer, and Reclassification data. He is our in-house Graphic Designer and is responsible for designing our District's Fast Facts, Data Team website and various other reports and infographics.
