The letter also explains the characteristics of readers at the child's level, and describes the traits of books at the child’s reading level. These links will take teachers directly to the report, where they can print letters for their entire class roster in less than a minute.

For previous academic years, the total number of newcomers is based on end-of-year enrollment data. For the current academic year, the total number of newcomers is updated on a daily basis.
Note: A newcomer is a non-US born student who has been in the United states less than 3 years and speaks a language other than English at home. For grades TK-2, the number of years in the US is based on US entry date. For grades 3-12, the number of years is based on US school entry date. Data points include performance levels the English Language Proficiency Assessments for California (ELPAC), Lexiles from the Scholastic Reading Inventory (SRI), and ELA and ELD course grades where applicable. Comprehensive Student Data Roster (CSDR), Fall Marking Period 1 Edition Excel 'database' is available for school leaders and Network Partners in Data Reports - Internal Google Drive folders.
This edition includes recent Fall SRI and Early Literacy assessment scores, plus scores from prior state and district assessments results, together with key demographic details fresh from Aeries. Check the online Guide to the CSDR for details on how to exploit the 200+ data points. Users can view student and classroom level attendance rates by week, which could prove useful for case management or running classroom challenges.
