The Physical Fitness Test results are now available for each school on the Data Team’s Google Drive. These PDF reports provide an overview of whether students are in the Healthy Fitness Zone (HFZ) in fitness tests related to abdominal strength, aerobic capacity, body composition, flexibility, strength and endurance, and trunk strength. The HFZ is the level of fitness associated with good health. A result of Needs Improvement indicates a potential for future health risks.

The CST/CMA Science assessment results reports are now available on the Data Team’s Google Drive. The reports compare 2013 and 2014 Grade 5 Science, Grade 8 Science, and Grade 10 Life Science results by school and for the district as a whole.
When comparing performance from last year to this year, keep in mind that OUSD’s science instruction is in the midst of shifting to the Next Generation Science Standards. Because the standards the CST/CMA Science assessment is based on are no longer in use, the District has deemphasized this test. Reports are available in both Excel and PDF formats, and Student Rosters for each school’s test takers are also loaded to the schools’ Protected Student Level Data folders. For questions about this report, please contact Kevin Smith. The first Comprehensive Student Data Rosters of the 2014-15 school year are now available on our new data website. Please note that you must be signed into your OUSD Gmail in order to access the Protected Student Level Data folder. If you're having trouble viewing this folder, please contact Rattana Yeang for support. The CSDR is a student-level Excel spreadsheet containing many data points for each pupil in your school. The CSDR features:
1. Demographic data (including last school year and 2014 summer school) 2. English Learner data (including fluency and home language) 3. Multiple years of assessment data, including the Scholastic Reading Inventory, Attendance Data, Suspension Data, and Physical Fitness Test Data. We've made some significant changes to improve the CSDR in this edition: 1. Customizing the CSDR for elementary, middle, and high schools 2. Adding F&P and DRA data where available to the elementary schools 3. Listing summer 2014 site for students who attended a summer school hub site What else do I need to know? 1. It is refreshed after every marking period for secondary schools 2. It is refreshed after every trimester for elementary schools 3. There are teacher versions for secondary schools, so please download and share with your teachers! What additional resources are there? 1. Guide to data points 2. Videos on how to filter, sort, and print Need 1 on 1 support? We can visit your site to give you a personal consultation on how to get the most out of your CSDR. To request a site visit, email us at [email protected] In the summer of 2014, the Data Team produced over a dozen reports that were used to help principals and central office leadership engage in reflection and planning during Oakland Unified School District’s annual August leadership retreat. These reports have been made available to the public and can be accessed HERE through our Public Data Reports link on our reports page. Some of the reports made available include:
1. High school data related to A-G, Advanced Placement, California High School Exit Examination, graduation, and Linked Learning 2. Chronic absence and suspension data 3. District benchmark performance data 4. Reclassification of English Language Learners Overall districtwide reports are available under 00_OUSD_Districtwide and aggregate school reports are located in separate school level subfolders. Each report includes 3 years’ worth of data and disaggregation by subgroups where available (gender, ethnicity, free or reduced price lunch…etc). When student totals are less than 11, summary results are hidden to protect student confidentiality. For any comments or questions about these reports, please contact the Data Team at [email protected] for more information. |
