For OUSD Staff: the Scholastic Math Inventory (SMI) dashboard is now up-to-date with Fall 2016 results through October 28. Districtwide, the participation rate was 84%. Test takers include all grades 3-8 students and students enrolled in Algebra 1. Exempt students were those enrolled in either a Moderate/Severe Handicapped (L2) Math course, a web-based APEX Algebra 1 course, or math instruction through the Home & Hospital program. Also exempted were students at Urban Promise Academy (UPA), where the NWEA MAP assessment is used in lieu of the SMI assessment.

For OUSD Staff: Participation Rates and Performance Scores on all 2015-16 District Math Benchmark Assessments (elementary C-EoU, plus secondary MYE and EOC exams) are reported together in one interactive report. Cumulative End of Unit (C-EoU) assessments conducted January 11-22. Expectation was that 14,463 assessments would be administered to 14,212 students and scanned into Illuminate by January 25. At the March 6 deadline for scanning answer sheets into Edusoft, more than 16,000 OUSD K-5 students had been assessed. The Districtwide participation rate was 84%. The math test responses were scored collaboratively by school site and T&L math teams. Districtwide, 41% of students scored at or above the proficiency level on the performance task. 50% scored at or above proficiency on the constructed response section; 44% scored proficient on the selected response portion. At the January 26th deadline for scanning answer sheets into Edusoft, more than 8,000 OUSD Grade 6-12 students had been assessed. Districtwide, that is an on time participation rate of 67%. The math test responses were scored collaboratively by school site and T&L math teams. In the Performance Task sections of tests, 46% of students in grades 6-8 scored at or above the proficiency level; 20% of students in grades 9-12 scored at or above proficiency.
