For OUSD staff: Newcomer Early Warning dashboard has been updated with End of Semester 1 data. Early Warning indicators are based on the following criteria:
- US school entry after age 16 - Calculations are based on comparing student birth dates and US school entry dates.
- Poor Attendance - Attendance rates less than 95%.
- Off-Track GPA - End of Semester 1 GPA less than 2.00.
- Off-Track Credits - Current calculations are based on comparing number of years as a Newcomer with total credits earned. Students that are Newcomers for over 3 years with less than 170 credits earned. Students that are Newcomers for 2-3 years with less than 110 credits earned. Students that are Newcomers for 1-2 years with less than 50 credits earned. Students that are Newcomers for less than 1 year are tagged with "Insufficient Data" when no credit data is available.
